Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Assistant Manager – Design & Estimation to lead the design, planning, estimation, and technical solutioning of ELV, Security, Smart Infrastructure, and FTTH projects. The role involves translating client requirements into optimized technical solutions, preparing accurate BOQs/BOMs, supporting bid submissions, and collaborating with sales, project, and OEM teams to ensure successful project acquisition and execution.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in ELV systems, telecom infrastructure, structured cabling, network planning, and technical proposal development for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
Survey & Solution Engineering
- Analyse client requirements, tender documents, RFPs, and technical specifications.
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments for greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Design customized ELV, Security, Smart Building, and FTTH solutions.
- Develop techno-commercial solutions aligned with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Support sales teams during client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions.
- Prepare technical clarifications, compliance statements, and post-bid submissions.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and PMC teams for solution approvals.
Design & Engineering
- Design and plan complete ELV infrastructure solutions, including:
- CCTV Surveillance Systems
- Video Door Phone (VDP) Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Boom Barriers & Parking Management Systems
- Fire Alarm & Detection Systems
- Public Address (PA) Systems
- Smart Metering / Prepaid Metering Solutions
- Structured Cabling Networks
- FTTH (ISP & OSP) Networks
- Prepare system architecture diagrams, schematic drawings, layouts, and shop drawings.
- Develop network topology and fiber infrastructure designs.
- Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA, OEM guidelines, and client standards.
Estimation & Costing
- Prepare detailed BOQs and BOMs based on project requirements.
- Perform project costing and budget estimation.
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
- Evaluate vendor and OEM pricing for optimized project costing.
- Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Support tendering and bid management activities.
Project Planning & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with OEMs and technology partners for solution finalization.
- Provide technical support to project execution teams during implementation.
- Review project drawings and ensure design compliance.
- Assist procurement teams in material selection and technical evaluation.
- Participate in design review meetings and project kick-off discussions.
- Resolve technical queries during project execution.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare technical proposals, presentations, and bid documentation.
- Maintain project estimation records and design databases.
- Generate project reports and technical documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation of approved drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
